unique synthetic Mini-pleat products are produced in-house from start
to finish. Beginning with plastic granulets, we make our own media and
do our own pleating on equipment we designed and built.
The effectiveness of aeolus filter3 media relies on
the fundamental mechanical principles of particle capture:
- Attract particles of similar dimensions
with a 3-D web of thick and thin fibers.
All aeolus filters3 are based on a German technology
that allows it to simultaneously manufacture and entangle microfibers
and nanofibers in a single process step. This technology leverages a
decades-old realization that the bonding forces between fibers and dust
particles reach their highest values whenever the fiber diameter is
roughly equivalent to the size of the dust particles that the filter
media is attempting to capture.
- Capture particles inside the filter,
not just on the surface
Thanks to the 3-D web of fibers, the aeolus filter3 traps particles
within the filter, not just at the surface. Many competing filters trap
particles only at the surface, a common cause for increased air flow
resistance.
- Maintain filter form under pressure
Durable enough to stand on, our filter media does not lose its shape
over time.
- Avoid the buildup of micro-organisms
Aeolus synthetic media is non-shedding, hydrophobic and virtually water-proof.
Our media does not support the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria,
mold and fungi.
